Link to Microsoft Word
The Word link allows you generate and view customer letters directly from the Encore customer record. A Microsoft Word document is created from within Encore, merging customer data fields into the letter using user-defined document templates. Documents produced in this way are linked to an entry in the customer activity notes screen and can be retrieved and viewed from there at any time. Documents can be generated either for a single customer or for a list of customers that you create within Encore to match specified criteria
For individual customers:
- One letter can be generated for each activity notes entry
- A range of customer related address/contact fields (see below) can be merged using user-defined document templates
- A basic template is provided to get you started
- A permanent link is created between the letter and the activity notes entry
- Letters can be viewed and edited at any time from within the customer record
For multiple customers (batch mailmerge):
- List of customers to be mailed can be defined and generated using one or more of the following selection criteria -
- Customer analysis grouping
- Products purchased during a specified period
- Sales value during a specified period
- Generated customer list can be manually edited before processing
- Required contact type can be specified
- A range of customer related address/contact fields (see below) can be merged using user-defined document templates
- Activity notes entry created for each listed customer with a link to the generated letter
